All Good/Semi-Good/Mediocre Things. . .

Well folks, I think this blog is going the way of the dinosaur, which is to say that I'm shutting it down. I've been too busy and, in all honesty, have had a minimal amount to say, and even that hasn't been particularly worthwhile. So, if you have any last words of wisdom, parting salvos or barbs to impart, or just trite inanities to post, do it while it lasts.

Good Work, Sooners!

Alright, Big XII South Champs! I love all the commentators who act so surprised that we still had a winning season (let alone 10-2) w/o Bonehead Bomar and AD. It just goes to show what I said all along was true: Paul's a good QB, and AD's injury forced us to demonstrate that. Moreover, we've got two great RB's in Patrick and Brown (can you remember their names now, Mike Gundy?).

Still, I'll admit that some of the playcalling on Saturday had me wondering if Chuck Long had snuck back onto our sideline. 4 straight running plays, one of which looked to have been intended as a pass, until Thompson pulled some kind of shenanigans? Our defense was kind of soft, too, and that had me scratching my head a few times. Anybody else who watched the game think the same way?

I can't argue with a W, though, and I'm looking forward to Nebraska next week; a "classic" matchup if ever there was one. Best of luck to all of my band friends as they head up to Kansas City; word to the wise, the parkas are bad juju!!!

That's all for now, I may add more later, but for now I've got to get back to God's Country (aka Norman, OK) and start studying for law school finals! AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!

That's how I roll. . .

OU/tx 2006

Overall, we could've played better.  We deserved most of the flags we got, with a couple of notable exceptions (see Kintner's entry).  Here's hoping we do better next year, whoever our QB ends up being. . . .

Boomer Sooner, texas sucks. . .
